Although the chest and nose diamond push ups are on the same level (3), the nose diamond push up is harder than the regular chest diamond push up because your arms higher up your body. Make sure you can do a regular diamond push up before you jump into this one of you might find yourself with a bloody nose
Muscles Involved in Diamond Push Up:

- The pectoral muscles: This muscles actually work less hard in this push up because most of the the weight is given to the triceps.
- Triceps Brachii: In this exercise your triceps are heavily involved as they bend your elbow joint to perform the movement.
- Anterior Deltoids: This muscles are used a little more in this movement because they must stabilize your weak shoulder muscle as you perform the movement.
- Rectus Abdominal: This muscles help to stabilize your body as you perform the movement. The difference here is that they also need your gluteus maximus for further support in this movement.
- Gluteus Maximus: As discussed above, they are needed by your rectus abdominals to stabilize the body more.
Equipment:
For this exercise you will want a soft surface. The reason is because more pressure will be concentrated at the palms of your hands, so doing this in concrete will be pretty painful.
Execution:
To get the best workout out of this push up, you need to make sure your form is correct the whole time. On the slide shown below, the athlete performing the movement. Pay attention to the way he keeps looking forward and keeping his diamond the same the whole time.
